Night Clubs in Vegas

Dear Dr. Dave and Dr. Dee,

Is there anything that my friend and I should be aware of if we decide to go clubbin' in Vegas?

Signed,

Dancin' divas

Dear Dancin' divas,

Las Vegas has numerous nightclubs from which to choose. But, you must be 21, have picture ID, enough money, and dress up. Nightclubs in Las Vegas have expensive cover charges and drinks, so bring plenty of cash and remember to tip the bartender and wait staff. In addition, most clubs have dress codes.

Very popular clubs are difficult to get into. Sometimes tipping the bouncer helps to get in.

On Friday and Saturday nights, cover charges range from $20 to $50 per person. You can forego waiting and the cover if you have a VIP table reserved. If you reserve a VIP table, expect to pay anywhere from $250 to $500 for four people and a bottle depending on the club.

Nearly every major hotel has a club or two. Some popular nightclubs are Pure at Caesars Palace, RA at the Luxor cover, Studio 54 at the MGM Grand, Light at the Bellagio, House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, and Rain at the Palms.

Check hotel websites or speak with the hotel concierge for the latest information. Some hotels allow guests into their nightclubs free or at a reduced price.
