I have been too busy to get out all my thank you notes for wedding presents. It's been about 2 months since our wedding, but a coworker stated that I have up to one year to respond. Is she correct?

No, your coworker is not correct. Wedding gift thank you notes should be sent as soon as possible after receiving the gift. If a thank you cannot be written right away, be sure it is done within 3 months after the wedding.
