Wedding Canceled, Return All Gifts



Dear Dr. Dave and Dr. Dee,

After much deliberation, my fiance and I have decided to call off our wedding. What do I do with the wedding gifts and what do I say to our guests? The wedding was to be next month. Also, do we keep the shower gifts?

Return all gifts associated with the wedding and this includes shower gifts. Enclose a note with the gift that simply says that you are returning their gift because the wedding has been canceled. Then thank them for their thoughtfulness and generosity.
