Oily Face Problem Controlled with Blotting Papers

Dear Dr. Dave and Dr. Dee,

I have a really bad oily forehead and nose and constantly use pressed powder to take away the shine. When the powder builds up and I wipe off the excess powder then that wipes off my foundation, so that I have to reapply my makeup. For oily skin like mine, is there anything that I can do to get rid of the shine and not have to repeatedly touch up?

Signed,

Oily

Dear Oily,

There are face blotting tissues that are designed to remove excess oil from skin while keeping makeup in tact. Blotting sheets are gently pressed onto areas of the face where needed such as the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) to absorb the excess oil.

In addition, to help control an oily complexion, drink plenty of water throughout the day, and use oil free moisturizer and makeup. If a shiny oily complexion is still a problem even after using blotting papers, then read the letter on long lasting oil absorbing pressed powders and matte face primers.
