Mother-In-Law Addresses Envelope Only to Son

THIS LETTER CONTAINED IN OUR NEW BOOK - MAKES A GREAT GIFT FOR YOUR MOTHER-IN-LAW!

Dear Dr. Dave and Dr. Dee,

My husband and I have been married for nearly a year, and there's something that has been bothering me since our marriage - his mother! I try to get along with her, and she seems nice to me in person, but whenever she sends us a card or letter, it's only addressed to my husband. I feel like she's snubbing me, am I right? What should I do?

Signed,

Feeling Snubbed

Dear Feeling Snubbed,

Yes, you are being snubbed, either subconsciously or consciously by your husband's mother. Correspondence intended for both of you should always be address on the envelope to both. It would be nice if your husband would say something (in a pleasant, nonthreatening way) to his mother about including your name on correspondence.
