Cross Legs At Ankles

Dear Dr. Dave and Dr. Dee,

My daughter is going to be interviewed for an internship program for this summer. She will be wearing a knee length skirt and matching short jacket.

We aren't sure if she should sit with her legs crossed at her ankles or sit with her legs together with her feet slightly to one side. I'm not sure crossing her legs is appropriate in that situation.

Signed,

Input greatly appreciated

Dear Input greatly appreciated,

Either crossing the ankles or keeping ankles together would be fine. Feet are slightly to one side and knees always together whether in skirts or pants.

You're right, crossing her legs would not be appropriate whether in a skirt or pants. In addition crossing legs at the knees is bad for circulation and could lead to varicose veins.
