I overheard my teenage daughter and her friends talking about going shoe shopping to look for kitten heels. What exactly are these types of shoes?

Basically, kitten heels are shoes or sandals that have a short spiked high heel. The heel height is normally 1-1/2 to 2 inches, but can be found as low as 1/2 inch.

Kitten heels are very versatile and can be worn with pants, jeans, or dresses. Health-wise, the height of kitten heels is better for your foot and more comfortable to wear compared to higher heels.
