Be sure and buy a sturdy set, and make sure that the gap between the frame and the guardrail of your bunk bed is no more than three and a half inches, or a child can slip through and accidentally hang themselves. Even if the bed will be against the wall, it should have guardrails on all sides. It is also recommended that a child should be over six years of age to be able to sleep on top.
